Who We Are

The Seasiders were formed in 1951 by a group of 5 women to promote the Spirit of Service and Friendship among its members and to stimulate interest in Palm Beach Shores. Full membership is available to women who are residents of Palm Beach Shores and Associate membership is offered to non-residents. The Seasiders are a non-political and non-profit organization.

The Seasiders are active from October to May. The two major fundraising events are the December Holiday Market, offering holiday decorations, baked goods and gifts for all ages and the February Bazaar which features a wide assortment of clothing, linen, furniture, jewelry, books, tools, and household items. This one-day bargain hunters dream is held at the Palm Beach Shores Community Center.

On the first Thursday of each month (October to May), the Seasiders host a luncheon with a guest speaker.  Programs and activities presented at the luncheons are educational and informative.

Message from our President

The Seasiders of Palm Beach Shores was founded in 1951 by a group of women in our town interested in promoting friendship and service in the local community. Since that time, our organization has grown to a membership of over 140 women of Palm Beach Shores (with a few associate members from surrounding neighborhoods). We have monthly luncheons where we gather together for friendship, good food and an interesting and entertaining program. We enjoy visits to local museums and gardens, as well as events of interest to the members. As times change and more women are in the workforce, we are now offering volunteer opportunities and social events after work hours.

Our greatest mission is our volunteer work with the local community, whether it is making sandwiches or serving hot meals at local churches or raising money to donate to local charities. Since our founding we have raised and donated approximately $275,000 through our fundraising, the primary event being the February Bazaar. We have also given over $27,000 to the town of Palm Beach Shores to purchase needed items like equipment for our Fire Department, a beach wheel chair and wind breaks for the Community Center. You can find more about us by exploring our website.

Our membership continues to grow as our residents seek out ways to give back to the world and develop friendships. Since arriving here a few years ago, I can say that all my friends here I have met through Seasiders. We welcome all women from the town. Check out this website to learn more.
